The Asia-Pacific Central Securities Depository Group (ACG) was formed in November 1997 as an informal international organization with the objective to facilitate the exchange of information and to promote mutual assistance among member securities depositories and clearing organizations in the Asia Pacific region. The ACG is a regional platform of 33 depositories and clearing organizations from 23 member countries. Today, ACG represents Asia on various international platforms such as World Forum of CSDs (WFC), International Securities Services Association (ISSA), Association of Global Custodians (AGC) and the Committee on Payment and Settlement Systems of the International Organization of Securities Commissions (CPSS-IOSCO).
WFC 2017 is co-hosted by 4 ACG members, the consortium composites of CDC Pakistan, CSDC China, HKEX, and NSDL.
Central Depository Company of Pakistan Limited (CDC Pakistan) - the sole entity handling e-settlement of transactions carried out at stock exchange of the country. Its aim is to operate as a central securities depository on behalf of the financial services industry so as to contribute to the country's ability to support an effective capital market system which will attract institutional and retail level investors from Pakistan and abroad. CDC is regulated by the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) and has branches in Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad.
China Securities Depository and Clearing Corporation Limited (CSDC China) - China Securities Depository and Clearing Corporation Limited was equally held by Shanghai Stock Exchange and Shenzhen Stock Exchange. As the most important financial infrastructure in the Mainland China capital market, our mission is to build an open, flexible and unified securities registration, clearing and settlement system in line with international standards and practices. CSDC's headquarter is in Beijing and has three branches in Beijing, Shanghai and Shenzhen, as well as a subsidiary in Hong Kong.
